Rosemary Webb’s son, Julian Webb, was murdered by Dena Thompson in 1994. A retired-teacher and wild orchid expert, Rosemary shared a passion for nature with her late son.
Following his death, Rosemary’s unwavering belief that her son would not take his own life led her to take the unusual step of employing legal council for the Coroner’s Inquest. The move paid off, the Coroner discounted Dena’s claim that Julian had committed suicide - which left the case open to further investigation.
Rosemary’s unwavering belief that Dena had a hand in Julian’s death, and her persistence to help find evidence to prove it, was a significant factor in bringing Dena to justice.
