Maya Badham is the founder of 'Safeguarding Animal & Human Survivors of Sexual and Domestic Abuse' (SAHSDA) which specialises in helping professionals across human and animal welfare sectors understand the link between animal abuse, interpersonal abuse, and wider criminality in order to improve the protection of all victims and survivors, regardless of species.
Maya is a subject matter expert in domestic and sexual abuse, having over a decade’s experience in the field working in a variety of roles including frontline survivor support, advocacy, and training delivery.
Maya has an LLM in Human Rights Law, is a qualified ISVA and VAWG Trainer as well as a certified Canine Trauma expert.
