Dr Keri Nixon

Consultant Forensic Psychologist 

Dr Keri Nixon is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist who has featured regularly on TV for 10 years discussing criminal cases. Dr Nixon has a unique position as a Forensic Psychologist having worked full time for the police, a position not common in the UK. In addition, she has worked within prisons, hospitals, academia and now in private practice. She still consults with police forces across the UK and has consulted on international cases. Dr Nixon also works with the Home Office. In addition, she completes medico-legal work for criminal and family courts. Her work in domestic abuse with the police saw her develop a domestic abuse risk assessment used by frontline officers. Her previous role prior to setting up her own clinic was Clinical Lead in a secure psychiatric hospital, where she also led on trauma across all services.



Dr Nixon is also called on to treat police officers, families impacted by murder and ex-military for PTSD and has developed a national reputation for her treatment of trauma.
