Jo Brunt

Patrol Officer

Jo Brunt joined the Metropolitan Police in May 1987 and was posted to Hounslow Borough. After 18 months as a uniformed patrol officer, she joined the Crime Squad and became a Detective in 1995 at Paddington and Heathrow before joining the Murder Squad in 1999. 

Jo has spent time investigating many high-profile murders including Daniel Morgan, Stephen Lawrence, and was the case officer in the investigation of Levi Bellfield, who was responsible for the murders of Milly Dowler, Marsha McDonnell and Amelie Delagrange. 

She has also managed a Saphire Sexual Offences Team as well as a Community Safety and Domestic Violence Team. Jo retired from the Metropolitan Police in May 2017 after serving 30 years.
