1.       Do you enjoy true crime?

2.      Do you want to have conversations with like-minded true crime enthusiasts?

3.       Want to hear from true crime authors and experts?

If you answered "yes" to these questions, then you'll love the brand new CRIMECON UK BOOK CLUB!

At CrimeCon we believe the only books worth reading are true crime books! True crime has fascinated writers for decades, creating some of the most haunting works of non-fiction that offer detailed, intelligent, and thoughtful insights into the most extraordinary cases and killers. The genre covers everything from well-known stories that grabbed headlines across the globe, to the personal accounts of the unanswered questions faced by victims' families. What is most terrifying of all is that these stories are true.

Each month CrimeCon will highlight the unmissable top picks of the genre and invite you to read one true crime book selected by resident host and true crime author Geoffrey Wansell.

About Our Host, Geoffrey Wansell

Geoffrey has been writing and broadcasting about crime for over 25 years. He was the authorised biographer of the serial killer Frederick West, and the biographer of Levi Bellfield, the man who murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler. His latest book "Pure Evil", about the men and two women serving whole life sentences in this country, is published by Penguin in paperback.

He has appeared in more than 150 hours of television documentaries about crime, including five series of the "World’s Most Evil Killers" for Sky Crime and Pick. He also presented four series of "Murder by the Sea" for CBS Reality.

How To Join Our Book Club

On the 2nd Tuesday of every month, CrimeCon UK and Geoffrey will host an Instagram Live to discuss the book. The Instagram live will be hosted at 20:00 GMT / 15:00 EST.

Don’t worry, you won't be asked to be live, only Geoffrey and CrimeCon will be visible. But it will be an interactive discussion - you will be able to ask can ask any questions or comment on the book, or just watch and enjoy! You don’t have to be a CrimeCon ticket holder to join and there's no fee. This club is open to the wider true crime community, you just need to follow crimecon_uk on Instagram to take part.

You can also meet Geoffrey Wansell and our featured authors in person at CrimeCon UK in September. To find out more and see what book we are reading this month, take a look at our Instagram account.
