Howard Sounes is an expert on the Fred and Rosemary West murder case, and the author of well-known true crime books.
Howard broke major stories in the West investigation as a journalist in 1994, giving the case its newspaper name, the House of Horrors. He went on to write the bestselling book on the case, Fred & Rose, which has become a true crime classic, and he presents the podcast series, Unheard: The Fred & Rose West Tapes, which went to number one in the UK podcast charts.
His other true crime books include Heist, the story of the 2006 Securitas robbery; and This Woman, a book about Myra Hindley’s prison love affair and escape attempt; along with biographies of Bob Dylan, Charles Bukowski and Paul McCartney. He also works as a TV producer making crime films.
